  Happy Thursday! It is nearly the weekend and some gorgeous Colorado weather. I think I will head to the nursery and get some flowers to plant. It is my turn to post for APC and our theme this month is masculine and/or nautical. I chose this beauty of a set called Nautical 1 . I decided to watercolor and chose a technique called misted watercolor. The tutorial for it can be found on splitcoaststampers.com here . I stamped the images with Versafine onyx ink onto watercolor paper. Next, I spritzed the back of my paper with water so that it will lay flat and not bow. I then spritzed the front and using a large round brush, I laid down my colors and let dry organically. I then when back in and put some more detailed color on. "on Father's Day" was computer generated and die cut with a fun die and then the "set sail" was stamped on watercolor paper...both placed on dimensionals. I just noticed that the definition of water and sky isn't evident in this photo but ...

  Happy Saturday to everyone in blogland! I think the nice weather “might”be here to stay. This makes me very happy. Our group post for this month is Father’s Day creations. The set I had wanted to use from APC is not here with me in the mountains, but I was pretty tickled when I came across this Owl 1 set. The sentiment was even perfect! I added the “Dad” and printed on copy paper and adhered to cardstock. The image was stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored. I used Bisque liquid pearls to add some interest to the owls’ chests. The only dimension was to the word dad and a bit of twine added. I am trying to be a bit more conscientious about keeping the cards flatter for mailing purposes...but it is hard.   Happy Thursday! Today it is my turn to post for Anthony's Paper Craft and this month we are focusing on Mother's Day and my teammate Misty's birthday month! For my first card, I used the lovely Tile 3 . I stamped it on watercolor paper and using a combination of watercolors and Zig watercolor brush markers, I painted it and then applied clear Nuvo drops for dimension and interest. I computer generated the sentiment and this is a card I will give one of my 3 sisters.  My second card was stamped with Floral background 2 . I think this is one of my very favorite floral images from Anthony. I stamped it on white cardstock and colored with Zig watercolor brush markers. I have been into splatters lately, so I added some after adhering my computer generated sentiment with dapper denim ink from SU! A black frame added for interest and adhered to a white card base.   Happy Thursday! Today we are showcasing purple birthday creations in honor of our team member, Misty LaVigne! Her birthday month is April! I chose to use Cupcakes 1 . I stamped the cupcake in noir black and used Zigg watercolor markers to color the image. Next, I cut it out and used a black marker all the way around the image so as not to show any cut marks. I used Nuvo champagne drops on the frosting for some bling. The designer paper is from Paper Rose and is called Abigail Lane. I used super fancy scalloped square dies and a tan card base to qualify for the scalloped ways to use it challenge on splitcoaststampers.com. This card measures 4.25 square. I wanted to keep the sentiment simple so I stamped it and made a banner end. The cupcake is popped up on dimensionals. I made another card....as this is by far, one of my fave stamps from APC.   Good day to everyone in bogland! It is my turn to post for Anthony's Paper Craft today. This month we have been featuring the single flower images. I used the Iris for my first card and the Daffodils for my second creation. I stamped the images on white cardstock, colored with Zig watercolor pens and then used marina mist as a sponged/distressed background. The designer paper is Hydrangea Lawns from dress my craft. LOVE this paper...it's about as thick as cardstock. I used some marina mist organza ribbon on the Iris card and distressed it by using the heat gun. Both sentiments are from Greetings set 1 .   Hi there! I am a day late and a dollar short. I spaced out our group post for the month! Oops. A day late is better than not at all!  Our group post is all about Easter. I chose this fabulous Woven Impressions Shaker Quality set from Jaskets on APC. Such fun, versatile stamps. I stamped the basket and fussy cut it out (minus the handle...which I stamped directly on the dp). Next, I stamped and colored my flowers and then fussy cut them out. I cut them up and arranged them how I wanted them to be in the basket. Lastly, I added some iridescent stickles to the flower centers. I computer generated the sentiment and die cut it out.....added another die cut as a layer behind the sentiment. I can't recall what paper pack this dp is from...sorry! Happy Easter everyone! Today is my day to post for Anthony's Paper Craft. I decided to use this Butterfly 3 set which will be available for purchase March 1. I applied Stampin Up! markers in assorted colors and colored directly on the stamps. Next, I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped. Using a toothbrush, I splattered ink around, as well. The teal layer is actually a piece of white cardstock that I colored with a Bermuda bay marker. Now worries if you don't have the right color cardstock!  I am also submitting this into the Turner Syndrome Blog Hop put on by Lori Kobular...last day to enter is 2/28. You can read more about Turner syndrome on the blog hop website here . Butterflies are a symbol for Turner syndrome. For my next card, I used APC's Coffee 2 stamp set....so fun and the large wood background stamp. I am digging this background and I stamped it in vintage photo ink. The coffee cup was stamped in black on a scrap of rose designer paper, fussy cut, popped on dimensionals and cover...
